My Social Work education and experience includes practice as a mental health clinician in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, program management, community development, hospital social work, and work with older adults. My work using yoga and meditation as adjunct therapies with children and families receiving mental health services received the Clara Kemila Anderson Memorial Award for the best practicum in the Social Clinical Stream in the Master of Social Work program.
My current focus is teaching Jewish Mindfulness, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and facilitating Mindful Parenting groups. Contact me if either offering might be of interest to you for your clients, staff, organization, or community group. I would be happy to discuss how to make Mindfulness Practice accessible to you and those you serve.
My interest in sharing Mindfulness practice is aligned with my wholehearted commitment to upholding the six core social work values:
1) Respect for the Inherent Dignity and Worth of Persons
2) Pursuit of Social Justice
3) Service to Humanity
4) Integrity in Professional Practice
5) Confidentiality in Professional Practice Value
6) Competence in Professional Practice
